Western Art Prints
I sourced these public domain western art prints to decorate a western nursery for my youngest child. I wanted a subtle western theme, so adding western prints of landscapes along with cowboy prints were the obvious choice.
These western prints were created by Thomas Moran, an artist that accompanied a government expedition in 1871 to survey with is now Yellowstone National Park.

Tips for Printing
- Check your printer. Make sure your printer is full of colored ink if printing at home to avoid discoloration or streaking.
- Choose your paper. Use card stock or thicker paper to create more sturdy prints. Regular computer paper is fine too but using thicker paper will create an elevated look.
- Leave the scale as is. Don’t adjust the scale of the PDF when printing, meaning let it print at full size to get an 8×10 image.
- Make it matted. If you DO want to make the image smaller and have a boarder around it (a print in this style is called mat) you can adjust the scale of the image when printing.
- Let it dry. Avoid touching the printed image and set it aside to let the ink fully dry before framing.
- Take it to the experts. If you’re unsure of how to print at home or don’t have a printer, you can always print the wall art at a local print shop or office supply store. Call ahead or look online to get instructions in their process.
