Ingredients

  • 3 Tablespoons heavy cream
  • 1 Tablespoon real maple syrup
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • In a tall glass or jar, combine heavy cream, maple syrup, and vanilla extract.
  • Use a milk frother or whisk for 20-30 seconds until foamy.
  • Serve immediately and pour vanilla cold foam on top of your iced drink.

Notes

  • Mix until the cold foam starts to get foamy but don’t over mix unless you want whipped cream instead.
  • A milk frother is the best tool for cold foam because it makes mixing effortless!
  • Make sure your maple syrup is the real stuff, not artificially flavored corn syrup. Real maple syrup gives the best flavor.
  • If you don’t have maple syrup, you can substitute 1 Tablespoon of powdered sugar instead.

Why you’ll love this cold foam recipe

  • This homemade vanilla cold foam recipe levels up any iced beverage. It’s an easy and fun way to make your favorite iced drink a little more sweet and special.
  • It’s made from wholesome ingredients. Other store bought cold foam can have questionable ingredients like palm oil, artificial flavors, mono and diglycerides (what even are those???). This recipe only uses 3 real food ingredients: heavy cream, real maple syrup, and vanilla extract. No weird aftertaste or oily film ruining a delicious beverage.
  • It’s so fast. I’m talking under 2 minutes to get decadent, fluffy vanilla sweet cream cold foam. Just pour together, mix, and ta-da! The perfect easy homemade vanilla cold foam your iced drink deserves.
  • It’s fool proof. Really, anyone can make this. And I mean anyone. Even if the ratios aren’t exactly right or it’s not mixed perfectly, you can still pour it over an iced beverage and enjoy. This recipe never goes to waste.

Important Ingredients

This easy vanilla cold foam recipe could not be simpler. It only takes 3 ingredients:

Homemade cold foam recipe ingredients on a wooden table in bowls
  • Heavy cream – You can choose whatever type of heavy cream you prefer. Whether you buy conventional, organic cream, or skim it off whole milk yourself, any heavy cream will do.
  • Real maple syrup – Emphasis on REAL maple syrup. This is what sweetens the cold foam recipe and gives it a depth of flavor. You don’t want artificial maple syrup because often it’s just corn syrup that has maple flavor added. Definitely not the same thing as the real stuff!
  • Vanilla extract – Maybe I’m biased, but there is nothing like the flavor of homemade vanilla extract. I think it levels up any sweet treat recipe. Any kind of vanilla extract will do, but if you want to kick it up a notch, use homemade. I like this recipe from Natasha’s Kitchen.
