Outdoor Easter Basket Tips

To create a cost effective and sustainable Easter basket, start with a container you already own. Something like a woven basket, plastic sand bucket, or even small wagon works great.

Consider what items can be thrifted or bought second-hand from places like Facebook marketplace, like rain boots or a hammock. Real gardening tools and watering cans are great to pick up at yard sales or thrift stores,

Give new life to items you already own. Do you have an unused flashlight in the back of a drawer? Or maybe a bug net tucked away in the garage? Consider what you already have available that can be presented in a new way that would capture your child’s attention and imagination.

From there, choose items thoughtfully and consider the personality and interests of your child. Every child has a different relationship with the great outdoors. It’s our joy as parents to help that connection thrive!

Leave me a comment letting me know what outdoor items your child enjoy or any items I should add to this list.

See you out there!
